REMINDER: A Night At The Races


The OGBC Night at the Races is fast-approaching, and we need to focus to make this fundraiser successful.

Before the event, we MUST sell all 100 horses.  We are well-below the that mark right now. We must work to get this filled by the upcoming deadline of Sept. 16.

We are also in need of a few volunteers for the event. Please sign up to help out.

-------------------  Previous Communications   -------------------

  1. Selling 2 tickets can, but does not have to, be purchased by the family. Selling 2 tickets is the minimum (we hope you are attending).
 
  2. Selling a horse does not have to be purchased by the family. Just sell 1 horse.
 
  3. The winning horse sponsor for races 1-10 wins $100. This was not clear in the initial post.
 
  4. Turn in your event tracking sheet as soon as possible. We have limited dinner tickets and horse sponsors and it is first come first serve. You can turn in multiple sheets. This will help everyone as well as I get the sheets in I will be sending a update on how many dinner tickets and horses remain to purchase.

1. OGA families Goals and Responsibilities
  a. Sell minimum 2 dinner tickets (10 seats/table) - Deadline to submit dinner tickets is Sept. 16th
  b. Sell minimum 1 horse - Deadline to submit Horse sponsorship is Sept. 16th
  c. Sell 1 sponsorship (goal) - Deadline to submit Horse sponsorship is Sept. 16th
  d. Donation to the Wagon of Cheer - Deadline to signup and submit donation is Sept. 16th
  e. Turn in Event Tracking sheet and money - Deadline to submit is Sept. 16th
 
2. Selling Dinner Tickets
  a. Sell Dinner tickets $50 each for dinner and premium open bar
  b. A table consists of 10 seats if you want to sell a whole table
  c. Document this on the event tracking sheet
 
3. Selling Horses
  a. Sell horse sponsorship for $50 each
  b. The purchaser names the horse (usually something funny)
  c. Document this on the event tracking sheet
 
4. Selling Sponsorships
  a. Sell $100 sponsorship
  i. Name/business/logo sent to bradkleinow@olympiabooster.com
  ii. Will be displayed in the program and during one race
  b. Sell $250 sponsorship
  i. Name/business/logo sent to bradkleinow@olympiabooster.com
  ii. Will be displayed in the program and throughout the event
 c. Document on the event tracking sheet
 
5. Donating to the Wagon of Cheer
  a. A signup genius is created for the wagon of cheer

  b. Bring donations in covered bag to the Olympia front counter clearly marked with name and Night at the Races.
 
6. Turn in Event Tracking sheet and Money
  a. Turn in the Event Tracking Sheet when you are complete with the money
  i. Keep the tracking sheet and money together
   * If paying by cash or check (payable to OGBC), bring the money and Event Tracking sheet to the Olympia front desk in an envelope clearly marked for the Night at the Races.
   * If paying by VENMO (@olympiaboosters) then make sure you note the Gymnast's name as it is on the event tracking sheet and then email the event tracking sheet to bradkleinow@olympiabooster.com
   * If you choose to pay via Venmo DO NOT click the "Turn on for purchases" button! This charges us a fee.
